Jason Lee

Vice President, NEM Foundation

Jason is the Vice President, Board of Directors and Executive Committee member of NEM.io Foundation, a top-ranking blockchain technology organisations based on cryptocurrency market capitalisation ($XEM). NEM.io Foundation was a finalist for excellence in blockchain/distributed ledger for the FinTech Australia 2018’s Finnies awards. As an advocate for emerging technologies, he was recognised as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia listmaker and had represented his organisation in over 30 cities in his past role as the Partnerships, Strategic Alliances & Expansion Director. Jason is part of the Education Committee for Blockchain Australia and had been involved in various activities, including participating in the National Blockchain Roadmap consultation in Canberra, the Australia-Davos Connection (ADC) Global Blockchain Summit 2019 as chair in the healthcare working group and AusTrade’s Australia blockchain mission to Consensus 2018 in New York City. He has been a mentor, judge, speaker and thought leader and his views have been featured in Bloomberg TV, Skynews, the Australian Financial Review, SmartCompany and various publications. Jason also teaches the Blockchain course with the Sydney Stock Exchange’s executive education program and had been invited to share his thoughts on emerging technologies at the University of Melbourne, Monash University and Swinburne University of Technology. He also the co-author of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain: Thoughts for the Future, published in the Internet Law Bulletin vol 12 no 6 by Lexis Nexis. Jason is an advisory board member for Blockchain Philanthropy Foundation, Blockchain Centre Melbourne and is a co-founder and strategic advisor to various startups in the FinTech industry. Before working with NEM, Jason had experience in legal, banking, wealth management and innovation consulting. Jason holds a Masters of International Business and Bachelors of Law with the University of Tasmania and was recognised as the top 15% in academic excellence through the Golden Key International Honour Society. Jason also attended the Cambridge Judge Business School executive programmes on strategy, innovation and creating high-performance teams.
