The first major law firm to accept cryptocurrency
In January 2018 Piper Alderman started accepting Bitcoin payments for settlement of bills, leading the way in alternative payments for clients in the growing blockchain space. Bitcoin was already transforming the way in which businesses interacted both across international borders and in Australia and Piper Alderman embraced the change, understanding the significant development in the evolution of international finance.
In early 2019, Piper Alderman will expand the number of cryptocurrencies we accept, and streamline the ability for all clients to pay bills using including BitCoin, BitCoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, and Ripple.
Collaborating to drive rapid blockchain adoption

The alliance not only facilitates reciprocal introductions, but ultimately boosts the Australian market’s reputation in innovation.
Following this announcement, Lakeba Group announced in July 2018 that Piper Alderman was to be one of the founding members of Lakeba Future Hub, a consortium of leading technology, law, taxation and educational firms, with a focus on accelerating blockchain adoption and development by Australian businesses.
