Dear Blockchain Australia Member,
On the 30th November 2020 Blockchain Australia conducted its Annual General Meeting. Highlights of the Annual General include the following updates –
New Board of Directors Announced
The conduct of this meeting included the announcement of new Board Members who will serve our organisation. We are very pleased to announce that the Board which will lead Blockchain Australia in 2021 is:
Continuing Director Appointments
Steve Vallas – Chief Executive Officer
Adam Poulton – Fellows representative
John Bassilios – Corporate and Advisory representative
Karen Cohen – Professional member representative
Anya Nova – Scale up representative
Adrian Prezlonzy – Exchange representative
New Director Appointments
Caroline Bowler – Exchange representative
Michael Bacina – Corporate and Advisory representative
Adriana Belotti – Fellows representative
Austin Lewinsmith – Scale up representative
Jason Lee – Professional member representative
Nick Giurietto – Distinguished Fellow Appointment
The Board would in particular like to recognise the work of Nick Giurietto who completed his term as Chief Executive Officer on 30 June 2020. Nick worked tirelessly for many years to advance the awareness and status of the Blockchain sector. Engaging with government, industry and the education sector to strengthen ties and create opportunities for those that follow for many years to come. In recognition of his work Nick was appointed a Distinguished Fellow of Blockchain Australia. We wish him well in all of his future endeavours.
Retiring Board Members
The incoming Board wishes to acknowledge the contributions of the retiring Board members all of whom have been made Fellows of Blockchain Australia in recognition of their service to the blockchain community in Australia. A heartfelt thank you to Leigh Travers, David Jackson, Grand Colthup, Michael Go, Paul Poumenidis and Rob Allen.

We look forward to an exciting year in 2021 in which we will continue to grow Blockchain Australia and, more importantly, advance the adoption of blockchain technology.
